Why we run zero ads
In Hong Kong beauty, the problem isn't a lack of choice — it's that you can't tell what's real from what's paid placement. HKStylist exists to fix exactly that.
What we are
HKStylist is a Hong Kong beauty booking platform covering six categories — hair, nails, eyelashes, brows, facials and tattoos.
Unlike other platforms, we're portfolio-first: you choose a stylist by their real work and real reviews, not by a salon's brand or an ad.
The problem with finding beauty in HK
IG beauty ads are pay-to-show — whoever pays the most shows up. Many reviews are fake or traded for an IG follow. Ad photos are filtered far beyond the real result.
The result is getting burned — botched colour, lashes nothing like the sample, nail art that doesn't match the photo. In Hong Kong, a friend's referral is still the most trusted channel. We're building that friend's referral — at scale.
How we're different: zero ads
We have one hard rule: zero ads, zero sponsored ranking. No stylist can pay for placement or to rank higher.
We surface a stylist on exactly two things: the depth of their real portfolio, and verified reviews from real clients. That's it — we won't let ads dupe you.

We don't decide for you. You browse each stylist's real work and verified reviews, filter by service and area, and book directly once you've found the right fit.
